Some of the services ProcoliX offers are ready to use. Everything is already set up and we only need to give a new customer access.
A good example is email. We already run a complete email environment that many customers use. If you need email, we simply give you access and you can start right away.
This is an example of a standard solution. However, in many cases a standard solution is not enough and customization is needed. This can be because of specific requirements for an email environment, for example when an organization needs a fully isolated system due to certification requirements. It can also be the case that a company has built its own website but does not want or is unable to manage the servers behind it.
In those situations, managed hosting offers a solution. We work together with the customer to understand exactly what is needed, and ProcoliX then designs, builds and manages the solution. We make sure everything runs properly and continues to run reliably. This can range from a single server for storing camera footage to a complete server environment for office automation systems. You ask, we deliver.
There are many possible applications. You might need your own environment for sharing files, calendars and contacts, or a platform for video meetings with people around the world. That is no problem. You can also set up your own Fediverse instance. ProcoliX already manages several instances, including Mastodon.nl and the Municipality of Amsterdam.
Although we have years of experience, we naturally do not know or do everything. ProcoliX believes in freedom and open source software, and therefore we do not focus on setting up Windows environments or managing cloud services on AWS.
What we do enjoy is helping customers move away from those kinds of platforms. We design and build environments that offer the same functionality as large American providers. They may look a bit less polished, but they do everything you need and give you the freedom to run them wherever you want: in our data centre, on your own hardware in your own building, or with any other provider you choose. Even on AWS or Azure if you prefer, because at ProcoliX there is no vendor lock-in.
